Rules of the chat

Hoplo is a place to meet new people. These rules keep it pleasant and safe for everyone. By starting a chat you accept them together with the terms of use.

Adults only

Hoplo is only for people who have turned 18. Never show minors on your camera and never share anything that involves them.

If reports or checks suggest that a user is a minor, their access can be suspended until a moderator reviews the case.

Respect the people you meet

Everyone here is a person who decided to talk to a stranger. Treat them the way you would like to be treated.

  • No harassment, insults or threats.
  • No hate speech or discrimination.
  • Do not pressure anyone to do something they do not want to do.
  • Do not share other people’s personal data.

Nothing illegal

Do not show, send or ask for anything illegal. Do not record other people or take screenshots of them without their consent, and do not publish recordings of conversations.

No spam, bots or advertising

Do not use the chat to advertise, send links in bulk, run bots or play pre-recorded video. Automatic checks look for repeated messages, links and a frozen or empty picture.

Be honest about yourself

Choose your real gender before your first chat: other people use it in their filters, and reports of a wrong gender are taken into account.

If someone breaks the rules

Press Report and choose the reason: the chat ends, and you will not be matched with that person again. Reports and automatic checks can lead to a warning or a ban — from a few minutes for a first minor violation to a permanent ban for serious ones.

A ban applies to the browser, the device and the network, so a new account does not lift it. If you think a ban is a mistake, appeal it from the ban screen.
