About Hoplo
Hoplo is a random video chat: one button connects you with a stranger from anywhere in the world for a one-on-one conversation.
What we make
A conversation with a stranger can be the best part of a day: you can practise a language, learn about another country or just laugh together. Hoplo makes such conversations simple — no profiles, no downloads, no sign-up.
How it works
Hoplo runs in your browser. When you press Start, the server finds someone who is looking for a chat at the same moment and fits your filters, and connects your browsers. Video and sound go straight between them whenever possible, so the picture appears quickly.
What we stand for
- Free: the chat is free for everyone and is funded by advertising.
- No profiles: the other person does not see your gender or your account.
- Safety: rules, reports, automatic checks and moderators work together.
- Open to the world: the site speaks 18 languages.
Languages
Hoplo is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Indonesian, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Kazakh, Uzbek, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Kyrgyz and Tajik.
